ZOCS, AIRTEL FOR QUALITY EDUCATION

Airtel Zambia says it is committed to partnering with the Government to ensure an enabling environment is created for every child to have access to quality education through information communication technology -ICT-.

Airtel Zambia Managing Director, Apoorva Mehrotra, says his Company believes that a child can only attain quality education through ICT especially in today’s Computer age.

ZANIS reports that Mr. Mehrotra was speaking in Lusaka today, when Airtel Zambia donated 40 tablets to Zambia Open Community Schools -ZOCS- worth 1-hundred and 58 thousand Kwacha to be distributed to selected schools across the country.

Mr. Mehrotra said his Company is pleased to partner with ZOCS in creating an enabling environment for education.

And Zambia Open Community Schools Executive Director, Cleopatra Muma said in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, the world has witnessed a serious disturbance to many activities leading to a number of sectors like education to backslide in service delivery.

She stated that ZOCS is pleased to partner with Airtel Zambia for the initiative to connect schools to the internet to attain quality education for learners.
