ZNBC MOURNS RETIRED EMPLOYEE

ZNBC Director General MALOLELA LUSAMBO has paid tribute to SOLOMON WITI a retired employee who died last week.

Mr. LUSAMBO says Mr. WITI, who worked as a technician in the energy centre, was an anchor in charge of the cooling system in both radio and television studios.

He says Mr. WITI was also instrumental in the installation of air conditioning systems in transmitters countrywide and was always willing to share knowledge with young engineers.

Mr. WITI Joined Zambia Broadcasting Services in 1986 continued his service under ZNBC and retired on December 31st, 2014.

He died at home on May 16, 2022 and was 62-years-old.

His niece, ESTHER WITI confirmed his death to ZNBC Corporate Affairs unit this morning.

Ms WITI said funeral gathering is at his Burma Residence Opposite the University Teaching Hospital.

She said burial arrangements await his relatives from overseas.

This is according to a statement issued by ZNBC Head of Corporate Affairs ANNE MUKABE.
