Ghanaian striker Zikiru Adams’ contract with Forest Rangers came to an end yesterday and with Zesco United looking to give him a new contract, The ZamFoot Crew understands that he is reluctant to return to Zega Mambo.

ZamFoot understands that the 2019 transitional league joint top goalscorer wants to remain at Forest Rangers with the club keen on signing the striker on a permanent basis.

The 26-year-old joined Zesco United at the start of the 2018 season but failed to make an impression and was sent out on loan at the start of 2019 and went on to win the golden boot in the transitional league joint with Austin Muwowo and Laudit Mavugo.

The Ghanian forward came into the limelight after he scored 13 goals in 15 games to help Nchanga Rangers survive relegation after joining them halfway through the 2017 season. His 0.87 goal to game ratio was what caught the eye of everyone.

The ZamFoot Crew also understands that Perry Mutapa is looking at bringing to Arthur Davies Stadium to bolster his attacking options as he looks to steady the ship at Abayellow.
