Zesco United sign Chipolopolo goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe

Zambia Super League giants Zesco United have secured the services of South–African born Chipolopolo goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe.

The former Baroka FC goalminder who has been a free agent since January has penned a two-year deal with Team ya Ziko.

Chibwe has been unattached since leaving Baroka at the start of the year.

The nine time Super League Champions have been busy in the transfer market and are expected to announce the arrival of Chibwe along with Kelvin Kapumbu, Songa Chipyoka, and Roderick Khembo at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the next few days.

Chibwe received a call-up from Aljosa Asanovic for the June 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Cote d’Ivoire and Comoros.

Chibwe was also in between the sticks in the first four of Zambia’s six Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers conceding six goals.
