ZESCO United have opened a ten point Lead at the summit of the MTN Super league table .

This is after thrashing Indeni two nil in a Ndola derby played this afternoon.

The Week 27 results saw the eight time’s Super league Champions fight tooth and nail to extend their lead at the hands of a stubborn Indeni side.

ZESCO United only got their breakthrough in the second half as Mwila Phiri found the back of the net in the 83rd minute before striker Chitiya Mususu Scored the winning goal in the 87th minute.

ZESCO are top on 52 points while ZANACO beat Forest Rangers one nil to reclaim the second position on 42 points .

The loss to ZANACO leaves Forest Rangers third on 41points while Power Dynamos who were held to goalless draw by 10 men Nkwazi Football Club complete the top four.

Earlier Red Arrows beat Lusaka Dynamos three goals to one , while Kitwe United held Buildcon to a one all draw.

Other results saw Prison Leopards and Young Green Eagles play to a nil stalemate while Kabwe warriors beat Lumwana Radiants two nil.

And Speaking after this afternoon’s win against Forest Ranger ZANACO head coach Chris Kaunda said the team was fully aware of their opponent’s tactics and had to force a victory.

And Forest Rangers Coach Tenant Chilumba said he is frustrated with the results because the referee destroyed the game.

Meanwhile Games to be played tomorrow will see Green Eagles take on Nkana while Green Buffaloes will face NAPSA Stars at the Nkoloma Stadium.
