Zesco host favorite customers Nakambala… Eye top spot

Zesco United will be looking to move back to the summit of the MTN/FAZ Super League this afternoon when they welcome Nakambala Leopards in a rescheduled encounter.

The defending champions are currently fifth on the log but a win will take them back to the summit with a better goal difference than Nkana who currently leads the log with 37 points.

Following their elimination from the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League campaign the Ndola based outfit will focus their energy on getting back to winning ways and maintaining their form having managed only two wins in their last eight games.

Meanwhile, Nakambala Leopards have only managed to pick up four points in their last six games and are swimming deep in relegation waters.

Coach Albert Mphande has named a strong 18 member squad with the likes of Wilmore Haatembo, Lubinda Mundia, and Patrick Ngoma all making the squad.

Zesco United have dominated this encounter beating Sweet Boys in ten of their last eleven meetings.

The sweet Boys last beat the Ndola giants on November 15, 2014, 2-0. Luka Tembo and Moses Siyanda scored the goals for Nakambala.
