ZANACO BEATS PRISON LEOPARDS 3-2

Ten Man ZANACO Football Club came from two goals down to beat Prison leopards by three to two in thrilling week 16 fixture played at the Sunset stadium.

The Bankers went down in the 14 and 19 minutes respectively through two goal hero Landu Miete who gave Prison Leopards a comfortable lead .

ZANACO however, started their comeback with three minutes remaining before half time through Rodger Kola to go to halftime with the visitors leading two one.

Kola completed his brace from a penalty spot in the 56th minute to level the scores before he was sent off for a second bookable offense.

Despite being one man down ZANACO fought hard to get a winning goal through substitute Abraham Siyankombo in 84th as the Bankers cashed in a three goals to two comeback.

The victory has seen ZANACO maintain their stay at the summit on 28 points while the loss has pushed Prison Leopards to third position.

ZANACO football Club Coach Chris Kaunda praised his team for pulling a strong comeback against a resilient Prison’s side .

Meanwhile, Prison Leopards Coach Mwenya Chipepo said poor officiating led to his side giving away the two nil lead but believes his club will still win the league.

Meanwhile Zambia Correctional Service -ZCS- Commissioner General Chisela Chileshe said his side are still in contention of the title despite the loss.

And Forest Rangers who beat Green Eagles by a goal to nil at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola have moved to second Position on the same points with ZANACO.

Ndola giants Zesco United where this afternoon stunned by Young Green Eagles by a goals to nil as they remain stuck in third position.

In an early kickoff encounter played at the Sunset Green Buffaloes beat Kitwe by three goals to one.

Other games played saw Lumwana Radiants and Indeni play to a two all draw while Kabwe warriors beat Red Arrows by one goal to nil.
