Zambians warned against investing in illegal financial schemes

Bank of Zambia – BoZ – Analyst for Licensing and Enforcement CHARITY MWENYA says thousands of Zambians have been scammed through illegal financial schemes.

Speaking when BoZ Governor DENNY KALYALYA visited the Bank’s stand at the 94th Agriculture and Commercial Show in Lusaka today, Ms. MWENYA said investments in illegal financial schemes are highly risky.

She has advised Zambians to desist from investing in schemes which are not registered by the Central Bank.

Meanwhile Dr. KALYALYA has cautioned the public to be alert and not be enticed by scammers.

And Dr. KALYALYA said a number of investors want to invest in the country but want the debt issue to be resolved.

He said once the debt situation is resolved, many foreign investors will come into the country.
