Zambian Chess Player Mints Gold

By Christabel Lumingu-Zambia’s Chess Player Tambuzhai Kadilimwando has minted Gold in the deaf Category at the just ended 2019 1st FIDE Confederation Cup for the Disabled in Turkey.Tambukhazi, who was among the Six players from Africa out of the 31 participants across the globe won three games and went down with two games respectively.And Chess Federation of Zambia -CFZ-President Mukubulo Chilufya has congratulated the chess players for her outstanding performance throughout the tournament.Chilufya told ZNBC Sports that he is pleased that Tambuzhai has returned home with a Gold medal which places Zambia in high esteem.He said her outstanding performance during the tournament shows the need to support Chess in country to improve sporting activities.Chilufya has since thanked all stakeholders who supported the federation and urged others to collaborate in a bid to develop Chess in the country.TambukhazI has since returned to Zambia and was received by family members and the chess federation members.
