Zambia U-20 Reach Cosafa U-20 Semis

By Chansa Kunda-Zambia have stormed the Semi finals of the 2019 COSAFA Cup following a 2 -1 victory over Malawi at the Nkoloma stadium.Zambia found the back of the net through Captain Golden Mafwenta, who scored a penalty five minutes before half time.Francisco Mwepu scored the second and his third of the competition in the 67th minute.Francisco Madinga pulled on back for Malawi in the 70th minute .Zambia qualify to the next round top group A on nine points and will face Angola who finished top of group C.Malawi are second of group A on four pionts With Bostwana third after beating Comoros Islands 2-1 at the sunset stadium this afternoon.Meanwhile , Angola were the First team to qualify to the Semi finals after beating Eswatini 4-1 in a match played at the Nkoloma stadium early afternoon.Angola scored through Ambrosini Salvador, who converted a penalty in opening minutes of the game while other goals came through Tangu Gastao who netted a brace and Melono Dala.And, The other group C game involving Mozambique and Seychelles finished 3-2 in favour of Mozambique played at the sunset stadium.Angola finished top of group C one nine pionts and twelve point’s while Eswatini are second on Six point’s with Mozambique third on three points while Seychelles are bottom of the table.Tomorrow Group B teams will be in action as Defending Champions South Africa face Lesotho at the Nkoloma stadium while Madagascar will take on Mauritius at the sunset stadium.
