ZAMBIA EYES STAKE IN LOBITO OIL REFINERY

Zambia has expressed interest to have a stake in the Lobito oil refinery.

Zambia’s Ambassador to Angola, LAWRENCE CHALUNGUMANA says the Lobito refinery has the capacity to supply over200,000 barrels of finished products to Zambia per day.

Speaking to ZNBC’s TAMARA MUSWALA in Angola, Mr. CHALUNGUMANA said the two countries have also agreed to build the road to Jimbe border in north Western province and another road connecting Angola to Sikongo in Western province.

He said the two countries are also cooperating in the area of ICTs with Zambia accessing internet from the satellite that Angola launched.
