President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Government is doing its best to ensure ZAMBIA benefits from the pledges at the ongoing COP28 conference.

And President HICHILEMA last night attended the Commonwealth Royal Reception to launch the Inaugural Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum, in strategic partnership with the Sustainable Markets Initiative.

He says the forum aims to deliver concrete outcomes from the private and philanthropic sectors.

President HICHILEMA says global partners and multi-stakeholders offer expertise and resources to coordinate strategies for the private sector.

It is aimed to help address the annual financing gap of over 3 trillion dollars needed to achieve net-zero emissions and restore biodiversity and natural habitats.

This is according to President HICHILEMA’s Facebook page and monitored by ZNBC News in LUSAKA .
