Zambia, Czech Republic pen three MOUs

Zambia and the Czech Republic have signed Development Progression Agreements.

The agreements are meant to assist Zambia in three critical areas.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, President of the Senate of Czech Republic MILOS VYSTRCIL said agreements will assist Zambia in development of the agricultural sector and will run from 2024 to 2030.

Mr. VYSTRCIL said other areas to benefit are social and healthcare, as well as public administration and sustainable development.

He said Zambia remains a priority country for development and cooperation for the Czech government.

Meanwhile, Acting Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE said the national artificial insemination centre in Mazabuka District funded by the Czech Republic has highly contributed to the livestock sector.

Mr. HAIMBE said the role that the Czech wants to play in addressing the drought will not be taken lightly.

Mr. HAIMBE signed on behalf Zambia and Czech Ambassador to Zambia, PAVEL PROCHAZKA signed on behalf of the Czech Republic.
