Zambia has won third place at the just ended African Nations 2023 Motor Cross tournament held in South Africa.

The two day event was held in challenging sandy conditions of zone seven, in Cape Town.

South Africa defended the title they won last year, while Zimbabwe won second place.

Zambia won five overall motocross positions including the 3rd position overall country.

The team notched up two major victories in the individual categories, with LEAH HEYGATE winning the ladies class, making it her seventh consecutive motocross women’s African championship.

Zambia Motocross Sport Association Commissioner North, ROLINDA PINTOWN told ZNBC News it was not an easy event but the team pulled through and managed to scoop some medals.
