“Zambia can now has tools to fight tax evasion”

The Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes says Zambia is now well positioned with tools to fight tax evasion.

Head of the Global Forum Secretariat, ZAYDA MANATTA based at the Centre for tax policy and administration in France says Zambia Revenue Authority will have access to information for those who want to evade tax.

Ms MANATTA told ZNBC News in an interview that some Zambians with properties outside the country will be able to pay tax because information about them will be shared.

Ms MANATTA disclosed that the recent report it published showed that One hundred and 36 billion Euros in tax, was collected from developed countries while 41 billion Euros from developing countries was collected as a result of exchange of information on tax.

The Head of Secretariat was in Zambia for a series of meetings with the Zambia Revenue Authority   and the Financial Intelligence Centre -FIC among others .
