ZAFFICO TO INVEST $32M FOR POLE PROCESSING

Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation -ZAFFICO- plans to invest over 32-million dollars in a pole treatment plant for value addition and wood processing.

ZAFFICO Public Relations Manager IREEN CHIPILI says the investment will see the company add more value to producing high quality poles for power transmission in the energy sector.

Ms. CHIPILI explains that ZAFFICO is currently processing high quality wood for the country’s mining and the construction industries which have continued growing.

She spoke in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.

Ms. CHIPILI also encouraged Small and Medium Enterprises to venture into wood processing for value addition for growth of the economy.
