By Ruth Chayinda

The Zambia Air Force says it will engage in agriculture to assist combat hunger in the country.

ZAF Commander Lieutenant General, OSCAR NYONI says this is in response to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s directive in helping to address food security challenges.

General NYONI has asked the Zambia National Service to assist ZAF in clearing some pieces of land for agricultural purposes in order to make meaningful contributions to the National food basket.

He said this when he visited the Zambia National Service -ZNS-Headquarters in Lusaka.

And ZNS Commander Lieutenant General MALITI SOLOCHI said the service will provide land clearing equipment to enable the Air Force embark on food production.
