ZAA TO STEP UP TRAINING

By Chansa Kunda- The Zambia Athletics Association  -ZAA- says it will intensify local preparations for athletes, who have qualified to the 2021 Tokyo Olympic games.

ZAA President, Elias Mpondela says local competitions will be organised to enable the athletes prepare for the olympics, amid the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Mpondela was speaking to ZNBC sports during the All Comers Meet competition held in Lusaka over the week-end.

And Mpondela said ZA is happy with Rhoda Njovu’s qualification to the olympics, as she become the first female on home soil to qualify in the 1-hundred meters category, after clocking 11.12 seconds.
