The World Vision Zambia says empowering women is one way to add value to the economy.

World Vision Zambia Board Chairperson MABEL MUNG’OMBA says empowering women will not only ensure gender equality but will also reduce poverty levels in communities .

Ms. MUNG’OMBA said this when she officiated at the launch of a women
empowerment and gender equality initiative.

Speaking during the same event, Vision Fund Board Chairperson JOHN CHUNDU said empowering women will uplift the livelihoods of women in communities .

Mr. CHUNDU says empowering women accelerates progress in every sector of the economy.
