WITCHDOCTOR DROWNS IN ATTEMPT TO GET JUJU

(ZANIS) A 63 year-old witchdoctor has allegedly drowned in Shibwe stream in Kalumbila district, North-Western province, when he attempted to get medicine for his blind client.

North-Western Province Commissioner of Police, JOEL NJASE has confirmed to ZANIS the incident which happened on Sunday, April 25.

Mr NJASE identified the deceased as CHIBANDA NTAMBO of Mutobo Farm in Kamukolo area.

He explained that the man met his fate, when he went to the stream with two other unknown men, who wanted healing for their blind relative.

Mr NJASE added that the witchfinder ended up drowning when he jumped into the stream.

The body of the deceased is yet to be retrived.
