Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s Super League side Indeni Roses has appointed former Zambia Women’s Under-20 and Moba Queens Coach Wisdom Kaira as the head coach of the club replacing Benson Chambeshi at the helm of the Indeni Petroleum Refinery sponsored side.

Coach Chambeshi has since been moved to the Technical Advisory position at the club.

Coach Chambeshi joined Indeni Roses in 2019 to help the late Coach Robson ‘Mfede’ Simukonde when he was unwell while the league was still in progress with about 7 games to play before the end of the season.

Chambeshi was part of the winning season for the 2019 Copperbelt Women’s league when Indeni were crowned champions.

On the other hand, his replacement Wisdom Kaira was one of the people that started Women’s Football on the Copperbelt Province with the late Mama Martha Shonga.

Coach Kaira is a former Women’s National Team coach for the Under-20 and was also part of the Airtel Rising Stars coaching Staff.

He was coach for Copperbelt-based side Moba Queens from 2009 to date until his recent move to Indeni.

During his Coaching period at Moba, Kaira coached the likes of Annie Kibanji now with Green Buffaloes, Thandiwe Ndhlovu from Zesco as well as Nyais Moga and Esther Onga Mukwasa who will reunite with him at Indeni.

The Roses currently sits on 5th position in the Women’s Super League log standings with 13 points from 8 games played and only 3 points behind log leaders Green Buffaloes Women Football Club.

Coach Kaira’s first assignment is on this weekend when Indeni travels to Mufulira to lock horns with Mufulira Wanderers Women’s Football Club in a match week 10 at Shinde Stadium on Saturday 15th May 2021 with kick-off set at 15:00hrs.
