“WE NEED TO SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE”

Government says Africa will need to speak with one voice if its concerns on Climate Change effects are to be heard on the Global platform.

Green Economy and Environment Minister, COLLINS NZOVU says Zambia will use its influence as Chair of the African Group of Negotiators to lead the efforts towards the realization Africa’s goals on Climate Change.

Speaking when he hosted Egyptian Ambassador at his office, Mr. NZOVU said Africa will at the forthcoming COP 27, focus on the effective implementation of the Paris Agreement.

And, Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia MOATAZ ANWAR said Egypt attaches great importance in hosting the global Climate Change conference.

Mr. ANWAR said COP 27 will present an opportunity for Egypt and the African continent to champion Africa’s agenda on Climate Change before the global community and leaders.

Meanwhile, Mr. ANWAR said he will soon present an official invitation letter to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to attend the COP 27 in Egypt.
