Copper Queens Striker GRACE CHANDA says consolidating the striking force will be key in helping the team attain the dream of qualifying to the 2023 Women’s FIFA world Cup.

CHANDA says getting the striking force to score more goals will make Zambia a top contender at the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup tournament and earn the team a slot at the World Cup should they make it to the semifinals.

She says the team is charged heading into the Africa Cup as players can make history by booking the country a place at the show piece to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand from July 20th to August 20th 2023.

CHANDA says following Saturdays one all draw against Morocco in an international preparatory fixture, the team is making steady progress as they have only a few areas to work on.

And, having scored Zambia’s equalizer after MISOZI ZULU gifted Morocco with an own goal, CHANDA said team work and unity will be fundamental in helping the team realize its Africa Cup dream.

Meanwhile, Defender MARGARET BELEMU has hailed the team for putting up a fighting spirit against Morocco.

She has since called on Football fans both home and those based in Morocco to rally behind the team.
