WARMA TELLS FARMERS TO BE WATER EFFICIENT
Water Resources Management Authority -WARMA- Director General, KENNETH NYUNDU has urged commercial farmers and businesses to migrate to efficient methods of using water.
Mr. NYUNDU says while Zambia may look like it has plenty of water resources, not all of it can be pumped out because it has to support aquatic life and also be channeled to other vital sectors such as hydro power.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on Livingstone City Council Town Clerk TIMOTHY MAMBALAKATA where he proposed that a Memorandum of Understanding is signed between WARMA and the local authority for collaborations on water issues.
And Mr. MAMBALAKATA said it is important that institutions work together in the provision of services to the people.
