VICTORIA FALLS GETS 61,000 VISITS IN 6 MONTHS

By Moombe Hamoobola- The Victoria Falls in Livingstone has recorded 61,000 tourist visitations in the last six months compared to forty-one thousand in the same period in 2020.

Acting Site Manager FRIDAH MUNKATA has told ZNBC news that the visitations increased by twenty thousand people this year compared to the same period last year.

Ms. MUNKATA has attributed the difference to the six weeks the Victoria Falls was closed to the public last year thereby reducing the numbers compared to this year.

She has further attributed the increase to local tourists whom she says have been increasingly visiting the Victoria Falls in the last few months.

Ms. MUNKATA has since commended the Zambia Tourism Agency for intensively marketing the Victoria Falls to the locals.
