Use CDF for intended purpose,Matambo urges Councillors

Zanis-Copperbelt Province Minister ELISHA MATAMBO has warned Councillors against implementing projects that have not been agreed upon by the community.

Mr. MATAMBO says civic leaders should not use the Constituency Development Fund -CDF- to finance projects of their choice but those that have been endorsed by the people.

He says he has received a report of a Councillor, who has forced the Community to implement a project of his choice, a practice, which should not be allowed to continue.

Mr. MATAMBO said this when he called on Chililabombwe District Commissioner, PRECIOUS NJEKWA.

And speaking earlier, Chililabombwe Council Chairperson LUCKY SICHONE said councils should implement projects of high impact for ordinary people to benefit.
