UPND WOMEN HELP PEOPLE IN NEED

Women from the ruling United Party for National Development -UPND in Kitwe District have come to the aid of people taking care of patients at the Kitwe Teaching Hospital.

The UPND District Women’s Wing has donated an assortment of food stuff to the women and men taking care of patients at the hospital.

UPND Kitwe District Chairlady EUNICE SIWALE says her group is aware of the many challenges the women and men found at the shelter face.

She says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has made it clear that the vulnerable people in society should be prioritised.

Mrs. SIWALE says many of the caretakers come from different parts of the district and do not have any means of looking after themselves and the patients.

And Mothers Shelter In-Charge XLOPAZI NKUNIKA says many of the people at the mother’s shelter lack basic needs.

She thanked the women for the gesture but challenged the group to make it a monthly activity.
