UPND To Motivate Members

UPND National Chairperson for special duties, WILLIAM BANDA says the governing party has embarked on a mobilisation drive to motivate members.

Mr. BANDA says party members must maintain the spirit and culture of the party.

He says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is taking necessary steps to improve the general welfare of the people.

Mr. BANDA was speaking in Mambwe District after presenting over 25 mattresses to Chikowa, Kasamanda and Nsefu rural health centres.

The donation came from First Lady MUTINTA HICHILEMA.

Mr. BANDA also presented 30 bales of clothes, 15 bales of shoes, bicycles and wheelchairs to various wards in Mambwe Constituency.

And Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI says the donations will help improve the status of the people who were mostly affected by floods in the last rain season.

Meanwhile, Eastern Province UPND chairperson JOHABIE MTONGA says the party has gained ground in the province.

During the same meeting, 117 defectors from the Patriotic Front and other political parties joined the ruling UPND.
