UPGRADING OF THE KABWE-NGABWE ROAD HAS ADVANCED

(ZANIS ) Central Province Permanent Secretary Bernard Chomba says the Kabwe-Ngabwe road will be upgraded to bituminous standard.

Mr. Chomba says high-level consultations have been ongoing and an agreement already reached to have the road tarred.

Speaking when he inspected the ongoing graveling and re-graveling works on the Kabwe-Ngabwe road, Mr. Chomba said the road is of importance because it opens the district to the rest of the country.

He said while government through the provincial administration is exploring the long-term solution to the Kabwe-Ngabwe road, the Road Development Agency -RDA- in collaboration with the Zambia Correctional Service -ZCS- Technical Services Department is working on the whole stretch of the road so that its passable.

Mr. Chomba said good road infrastructure will enhance service provision and make it easy for the people of Ngabwe to access banking and administrative services in Kabwe.
