UNKNOWN DISEASE KILLS 100 CATTLE IN MKUSHI

By Martha Banda-Over one hundred cattle in various villages of Mkushi district, Central province, have died in the last four months, due to an unknown livestock disease outbreak

Chief Chitina of the Swaka people has disclosed this to Mkushi North Member of Parliament, Doreen Mwape, who has been touring the constituency.

The traditional leader says the loss of the cattle will have a negative impact on the villagers’ farming activities, as they use them for cultivating land.

And Ms Mwape has promised to engage the relevant government agencies to investigate the disease.
