By Hector Simfukw-

The National Union of Miners and Allied Workers -NUMAW- has commended the Government for ending load shedding which has allowed mines to remain productive.

NUMAW National President SAUL SIMUJIKA says load shedding had the potential to put the jobs of many people at risk as it was going to force companies to scale down on production.

Mr. SIMUJIKA says miners on the Copeprbelt are happy that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is determined to improve the sector.

He spoke in an interview with ZNBC News last night after President HICHILEMA who is on the Copperbelt for a two day working visit met with Mine unions and Suppliers in Ndola.

Mr. SIMUJIKA has also thanked the head of state for finding time to meet all the players in the mining sector.
