UN Special Rep to the SG in the Country

United Nations-UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on violence against children NAJAT MAALLA has arrived in the country to strengthen collaboration on ending violence against children in Zambia.

Dr. MAALLA was received by Minister of Community Development DOREEN MWAMBA at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport this afternoon .

Dr. MAALLA’s visit aims at having first hand engagement with leadership and stakeholders on efforts to end violence against children in Zambia.

She will also explore areas of collaboration with Government and other stakeholders on strengthening the child protection system in Zambia.

She will further visit sites impacting social policies for the protection of children in Zambia.

According to the program released by the Ministry of Community Development, Dr. MALLA will be in Zambia from 7th of April to the 14th April 2024.
