U17 CHIPOLOPOLO TO FACE SOUTH AFRICA

Zambia will this evening lock horns for its first 3 points at the ongoing Under 17 AFCON against South Africa at the MOHAMED HAMLAOUI stadium in Constantine.

The match Kicks off at 21:00 hours Central African Time.

The Young Chipolopolo lost their opening match by a goal to nil against Nigeria on Sunday.

It will be the third time in five months that the two COSAFA giants will be meeting, with the last two encounters at the COSAFA Championship in Malawi going 1-nil in favour of Zambia who went on to lift the title.

Wednesday’s match will provide room for South Africa to revenge while Zambia will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run and keep their hopes of a quarter-final spot alive.

The top four teams will earn slots to the 2023 FIFA Under 17 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Zambia’s final Group B fixture against Morocco has been moved from NELSON MANDELA Stadium in Algiers to the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba.

The match will be played on Saturday May 6, 2023.

The match was initially scheduled for, but was changed following the disqualification of South Sudan and the subsequent re-organization of fixtures in Group C who were based in Annaba.

South Sudan was disqualified after more than four of its players failed the MRI test.
