TWO YEAR OLD GIRL DIES IN BUS ACCIDENT

(ZANIS)A two year-old girl has died on the spot after her body was decapitated  in a bus accident on the Zambezi-Chavuma road in the North-Western province.

Nine other passengers of the same bus were left with serious injuries, in the accident, which happened yesterday, around 20.30 hours, at Chinyanta-Kalombo area.

North-Western Province Police Commissioner, JOEL NJASE has confirmed this to ZANIS, identifying the driver of the bus as DAVID ULULI, aged 53, of Kitwe.

Mr NJASE explained that the deceased girl, identified as MARTHA SWAU, had her head cut off, when the bus first hit into a cow, which was on the road, and later overturned.

He has attributed the accident to excessive speed, adding that the driver has since been detained.
