TEACHER UNION WANTS TEACHERS PUNISHED FOR EXAM MALPRACTICE

By Hannock Ksama

The Zambia National Union of Teachers -ZNUT has called for the punishment of teachers who were allegedly involved in examination malpractices in the ongoing school examinations.

Acting ZNUT General Secretary CATHERINE CHINUNDA says the law must take its course if such teachers are found guilty.

Mrs. CHINUNDA was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in LUSAKA today.

She advised teachers to desist from engaging in examination malpractices.

Mrs. CHINUNDA said teachers must be above reproach and professional in the execution of their duties.

Last week, the Examination Council of Zambia suspended some teachers from invigilating examinations as a result of being involved in examination malpractices.
