Tazama pipeline rehab will cut fuel prices-Tayali
Zanis-Minister of Transport and Logistics, FRANK TAYALI says revamping the TAZAMA pipeline will lead to a reduction in prices of fuel as 80 percent of fuel required in the country wil be transported through the pipeline.
Mr. TAYALI says the remaining 20 percent will be transported by road using tanker trucks.
He says transporting fuel using the road is costly as it contributes to high fuel prices in the country.
The minister says once the TAZAMA pipeline is reopened the pump price of fuel will reduce and the economy will be favourable for all Zambians.
He says government shutdown Indeni Petroleum Refinery Company in Ndola to revamp TAZAMA Pipeline.
Mr. TAYALI was speaking during the Ndola UPND end of year party.
