TAYALI VOWS TO BLOCK HH

Economic and Equity Party President Chilufya Tayali says he will seek an injunctive relief from the courts of law to block UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema, if he attempts to  file in his presidential nomination  ahead of  the 2021  general election.

Mr. Tayali says the objective of his intended legal action is to afford Mr. Hichilema an opportunity to explain his role in the privatisation of national assets following numerous allegations from citizens.

He says he wants to ensure that those vying for the Presidency have no unexplained allegations surrounding them.

Mr. Tayali was speaking at a media briefing in lusaka today.

Efforts to get UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema failed as his phone went unanswered.

But when contacted, UPND secretary General Stephen Katuka said he will not comment on the matter but urged Mr. Tayali to go ahead with his planned court process.
