TAMBATAMBA PROMISES FLEXIBLE LABOUR POLICIES

Labour and Social Security Minister BRENDA TAMBATAMBA says Government will also provide a conducive environment for employers and employees through good and flexible policies.

She adds that her ministry is focused on addressing issues of child labour in the mining, agriculture, and other sectors.

The Minister says there is need to coordinate and harmonize interventions of child labour to protect children.

Ms. TAMBATAMBA says it is important to work together to achieve common objectives.

The Minister was speaking when a delegation from the United States Embassy paid a courtesy call on her today.

And Ms. TAMBATAMBA also sent a message of condolence to the Americans following the passing on of former US Secretary of State COLIN POWELL, who died of Covid-19 complications aged 84 yesterday.

Meanwhile, incoming US Charge De Affairs MARTIN DALE said the meeting with the Minister availed an opportunity for bilateral corporation.

Mr. DALE, who is also outgoing Deputy Chief of Mission, said the US – Zambia partnership is key for continued economic progress.
