TAKE COVID-19 SERIOUSLY – HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on citizens to take COVID-19 seriously and NOT take it as a joking matter.

President HICHILEMA says some State House staff are in isolation after they tested positive for Covid -19.

He has asked the media to help sensitize the public on Covid-19 by sending out correct messages about the pandemic.

The President said this when he swore in Chief Justice MUMBA MALILA, Member of the Judicial Complaints Commission VINCENT MALAMBO , Chairperson of the Local Government Service Commission ACKSON SEJANI as well as Chairperson of the Zambia Police Service Commission PETER MACHUNGWA at State House today.

The Head of State said the relaunch of the vaccination campaign has led to an increase in more people getting vaccinated and has called for a mind set change among those who are not yet vaccinated.

President HICHILEMA said the country will NOT go on lockdown as it has been proven that a total shut down does NOT solve the problem.

President HICHILEMA has called on citizens to adhere to the 5 golden rules.
