Struggling Nkana welcome unbeaten Forest Rangers

Record 13 time Champions, Nkana will be looking to end their five match winless run when they welcome Forest Rangers at Nkana Stadium this afternoon.

Kalampa have only managed a single point from a possible 15 in their last five matches.

Head Coach Beston Chambeshi feels this is the right time for his side to end their bad patch, a five match winless run.

“The team is ready. We have an injury free team. The boys are looking forward to tomorrow’s game. We went through a bad patch which we need to come out of and it starts with the Forest Rangers game,” he said.

“It has been difficult for us but we have worked hard in training and the Boys are ready to start picking points. We are playing good football but unfortunately football is about goals. We are not even losing by big margins. We are working on scoring, that is the weakness.”

Meanwhile Forest Rangers defender Gerald Simusokwe says Fole Malembe are eyeing maximum points at Nkana Stadium this afternoon.

“As a team everyone is ready, and pushing. We just have to stay focused. It won’t be easy as an away team but we just have to apply what the coaches have been telling us in training. We want to collect maximum points at Nkana,” he said.

Nkana are desperate for maximum points but face a team they have only beaten once in the last eight meetings.

Chambeshi’s men will have to dig deep if they are to turn their fortunes around and record a win against a tricky Forest side.

2007 CAF young player of the year Clifford Mulenga is expected to be the key man for Ian Bakala’s men.

Nkana on the other hand will rely on the exploits of Jacob Ngulube, Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga, Harrison Chisala and Obed Masumbuko as they push to secure only their second win of the season.
