State House donates chlorine

State House has donated nine thousand bottles of chlorine to the Provincial Health Office in Eastern province.

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says it is important that all stakeholders get on board to help mitigate the spread of the disease.

President HICHILEMA says through joint effort, the disease can be controlled.

He has since called on the public to ensure they maintain good health habits and personal hygiene.

The President said this when he visited the Cholera centre in Chipata where he made the donation.

He also urged relevant offices to engage their counterparts in other neighbouring countries to help in managing the  disease.

And Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO said there is need to come up with measures that will lessen the spread of the disease by restricting movement of people especially from areas where the epidemic has been recorded.
