Soko Goes on Leave Due to Probe
July 10, 2019July 10, 20196Road Transport and Safety Agency Chief Executive officer Zindaba Soko has proceeded on leave to pave way for investigations over alleged case of money laundering.Mr. Soko is being investigated by security wings over the contract involving the Road traffic management system.Transport and communications Minister Brian Mushimba has confirmed in a statement issued to ZNBC.Dr. Mushimba said Mr. Soko wrote to the Ministry to request to proceed on leave.Dr. Mushimba said as part of good corporate governance practice, Mr. Soko wants the investigation process to proceed without any perceived interference from his office and allow the law to take its course.The Minister has approved the request for leave.
