Socialist party offers KK solidary

ZANIS-The Socialist Party in Mkushi District says First President KENNETH KAUNDA will be remembered for effecting the philosophy of Humanism and his brand of Socialist ideology.

Mkushi North Constituency Parliamentary Candidate TANJI KAPUNGWE says the Socialist Party felt a degree of affinity with the ideals of the late Dr. KAUNDA, explaining that they shared a common view of placing man at the center of all endeavours.

Mr. KAPUNGWE says Dr. KAUNDA had implemented centralized command economic policies that sustained free services in education and health care adding that the aim was to enable all citizens to gain access to these services.

He says the Socialist Party also acknowledges that it had some similarity with Dr. KAUNDA’s economic policies of placing some large-scale industries in Provinces or Districts.

Mr. KAPUNGWE told ZANIS that this was done with consideration to the abundant localized raw materials in the areas.

He further said Dr. KAUNDA would be remembered for his efforts to prevent the huge disparity between the rich and poor, adding that this is a cardinal principle of Socialism.
