SIX YEAR OLD GIRL DEFILED BY GANG

A Six-year-old girl has been defiled by unknown people in Chama District in Muchinga Province.

The victim was walking from school when she met four men who threatened her with a dog and dragged her in an unfinished building and defiled her.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has since appealed to members of the public to help in bringing the culprits to book.

In another development, two suspected members of a gang have been killed by a mob after they were accused of killing a 20-year-old gang member.

The incident happened on Wednesday in Chief Nawaitwika’s area of Nakonde District in Muchinga Province.

The two are alleged to have killed Daniel Mugala and threw his body in a stream and was later found half naked with both hands tied with shoe laces.

Mrs Katongo said the gang members had earlier robbed unidentified person of Five Hundred Kwacha and while sharing the same money, the deceased tried to hide some money and his friends beat him to death and threw his body in the stream.

When the deceased went missing his friends were approached and confessed of killing the deceased and the mob pounced and killed the two.

Mrs Katongo said the bodies of the deceased persons are in Nakonde Urban Clinic mortuary.
