SIX NEW EAGLES IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SQUAD

Green Eagles football club has unveiled the squad registered for CAF Champions League quest and that includes all the six new players the club has acquired.

According to the press state made available to Zamfoot crew by Media and liaison Officer of the club Faith Kaira, the club signed Andrew Kwiliko from Nakambala Leopards, Boston Muchindu from Nkana, Benson Nzuma from Nchanga Range, Gozon Mutala from Power Dynamos, Hosea Silwimba from Lumwana Radiants and Napsa Stars striker Mangani Phiri.

Gozon Mutale joins the Kawale Boys from Power Dynamos.

The Kawale Boys look to be set to play South African Orlando Pirates, Amity Shamenda and Kennedy Musonda who had a very good CECAFA tournament in Rwanda are the notable players who are part of the 28 man squad registered.

The club has also excluded Lazarus Phiri, Muma Mumba, Muna Mwaba, Joseph Mwindilila and Ray Mutale from the Caf list but they will be registered to play the Zambian Super League which starts on the 24th this Month.

Meanwhile, defender Collins Mulenga and Progress Kalenga have been sent on loan to Nkana football club. Isaac Simbuwa And Anos Tembo will spend their seasons at Napsa Stars and Lumwana Radiants respectively.

Anos Tembo scored a brace against Young Buffaloes of eSwatini.

Midfielder Kizito Cheelo who has struggled with a knee injury has been released, Cheelo only managed to play the around of the transition season but picked up an injury which has seen him spend most of the time in the treatment room. Other three players released are Wilbroad Mutale, Langson Mbewe and Kabamba Chilibwe.
