Simusamba sets June 8 for committing HH treason case

HH after appearing in court in a treason case

It is now confirmed the lawyers representing Hakainde Hichilema in the treason case have abandoned the judicial review process.

And Magistrate David Simusamba has since set Thursday, June 8, 2017 as the hearing date for the defence application to commit the matter to the High Court for trial.

There has been cross condemnation of the lawyers saying they were prolonging the case by raising a number of preliminaries.

Hichilema or HH who heads the opposition UPND is charged with treason together with five others.
