Sichone set to name Squad for Israel friendly match

Chipolopolo Assistant coach Moses Sichone is set to take charge of the team when they face Israel in an international friendly match next month. 

In the absence of a new head coach after the departure of Aljosa Asanovic last month, the former Chipolopolo defender will be the man on the touchline in Petah Tikva. 

Sichone is expected to name his squad for the match this week ahead of the much anticipated international friendly match during the November FIFA international window. 

The former Germany based gaffer has been busy scouting local players weekend in weekend out as he is expected to name a blend of local and foreign based Chipolopolo Boys. 

Since the match is on the FIFA window, Sichone is expected to have all his arsenal at his disposal with the likes of Patson Daka, Lameck Banda, Klings Kangwa, Emmanuel Banda, Lubambo Musonda, Edward Chilufya, Frankie Chisenga Musonda, and Fashion Sakala Jnr all likely to be part of the match. 

The Zambia and Israel match will be staged on November 17, 2022 at the Petah Tikva Stadium. 

The Blue and Whites are coached by former Watford player Alon Hazan and the technical director is former Chelsea and Liverpool player Yossi Benayoun. 

The Chipolopolo Boys last international friendly match was against the Eagles of Mali last month which the Bullets lost 1-0 thanks to a first half goal by El Bilal Touré.
