SHIMUNZA CLEARS AIR

The UPND Alliance says it does not interfere in internal issues involving any of its member parties.

This follows the decision by the National Democratic Congress -NDC-to drop MWENYA MUSENGE as Party President and replacing him with GEORGE SICHULA.

Alliance Spokesperson DANIEL SHIMUNZA says the alliance is however coming up with a framework to allow others to join the Council of Presidents, especially those that came after the 2021 General election.

Mr. SHIMUNZA says many people have applied to join the alliance, but none are being allowed until the framework is finalized.

He told ZNBC news in a telephone interview that Mr. MUSENGE should have exercised patience to allow for the right thing to be done.

Mr. SHIMUNZA has since wished the NDC the best as they sort out their internal wrangles.
