SET UP PRIVATISATION COMMISSION – TEMBO

Patriots for Economic Progress-PEP  Leader Sean Tembo has appealed to President Edgar Lungu to expedite the setting up of the Commission of inquiry on the Privatization of Government assets.

Mr Tembo says the move will help settle the many questions that Zambians have been asking regarding the process.

He has told ZNBC news in interview that the move by civil society organisations to present a petition to the head of state has given confidence to Zambians over the matter.

Meanwhile, Mr Tembo said the move to set up a commission of inquiry should not be perceived as a move to target some opposition party leaders .

He said  a lot of people were involved in the privatization process and that it is wrong for opposition party leaders to claim that  the move is meant to end some political career .
