SERVICE COMMISSION MEMBERS TERMINATED

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has terminated the services of members of the Civil Service, Teaching Service, Zambia Correctional Service and Local Service Commissions.

The terminations are with immediate effect.

This is pursuant to section 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 of the Service Commissions Act number 10 of 2016, and as read with section 26 of Interpretation and General Provisions Act Chapter 2 of the laws of Zambia.

President HICHILEMA has also thanked the commissioners for the service rendered to the country and has since wished them well.

Meanwhile, The President has appointed new members of the Local Government Service Commission with ACKSON SEJANI as Chairperson.

Others appointed are NAMAKAU KABWIKU and LESLIE CHIKUSE as Members of the Police Service Commission, TOM SILWIINDI as Member of the Correctional Service Commission and Mr. WANYAE SINYINDA is a member of the Teaching Service Commission.

This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by Mr. CLAYSON HAMASAKA on behalf of the Presidential Spokesperson.
